Studio Barath is a Budapest based international branding and design consultancy studio with an emphasis on quality, strategic thinking and craftmanship. Our practice, founded and led by award-winning graphic designer David Barath in 2006, always works closely with the client, taking part in processes at an early stage, often before any design is involved. We take our time to study each project, research and analyze thoroughly, and present a solution tailor-made to the client’s needs.

By bringing together verbal, graphic and spatial design, the studio collaborates with clients from the real estate, hospitality, financial, legal, commercial and cultural sectors on a broad range of branding projects – from restaurants to real estate developments, corporate identities, books and consumer goods.

Over the years we have established successful long-term relationships with many clients, including real estate developers, restaurateurs, food industry businesses, cultural institutions and artists. Their success is our success; their loyalty is our biggest acknowledgement.

In addition to the above, participating in art projects where we are completely free to play and to experiment, is of great importance to us. Our works have been shown in many national and international exhibitions, have been published in various unique and professional publications throughout the world, and we also regularly launch or initiate independent art projects.

David BARATH
Creative Director
Founder

After graduating from the University of Fine Arts, David worked in senior creative positions at advertising agencies and glossy magazine publishers. He started his own business in 2006 under the name David Barath Design, where he focuses on branding, strategic planning and defining visual concepts for brands in a variety of fields. He has an outstanding knowledge and up-to-date expertise in the fields of real estate development, hospitality and gastronomy, and has been responsible for the branding of several Hungarian top restaurants. After co-founding Boook Publishing in 2008, he served as its artistic director for five years, creating and/or upgrading branding for numerous chefs, restaurants, hospitality companies and FMCG brands, thus became a well-known player in the top gastronomic scene in Hungary. The publisher's books have won numerous accolades, including several 'Gourmand World Cookbook Awards'. For David, branding starts at the product development stage, almost always being involved in the development of the future brand from the initial stages of the project. In addition to running the studio, Dávid is also an independent artist, regularly featured in Hungarian and international publications, art projects and exhibitions.
